There are different tents for different weather conditions. You will need separate tent for sub zero cold weather and a separate tent for hot weather. a) Before buying a tent you need to decide on the tent dimension required because tents are prepared to protect you and your family. Any problem in dimension of the tent could make the tent useless.

b) When you buy a tent make sure you find out what is the capacity of the tent. This will give you can idea of how many adults and children can fit in a tent. So make a list of the number of people who are likely to come for the camp before you buy a tent.

c) Find out details regarding the camping spot like climate and backpacking requirements. Consider all these factors before you buy a tent

d) Decide on the amount that you are willing to spend for buying the tent. Once you have set the budget you will not spend more than the budgeted amount.

e) Decide on the weight that you are willing to carry when you go for camping. If you prefer to travel light I suggest you don’t buy tents which are heavy.
